Christmas door wreath recipe

When it comes to making a wreath, you can choose a circle shape or an swag shape. Each are different but put together in a similar way. Firstly attaching bundles of fresh picked material spruce pine or fresh cut holly together as you use a continuous technique by wiring them individually to the ring.

Wreathing tools

Double wire frame and a good sphagnum moss-holds its water well and keeps moist for your foliage. The rings can be 12 inch or 14 inch depending on the finished size. Twine or moss wire help to secure your design, along with good cutting floral "snips"

As always figure out the ingredients you want to highlight to get the most from your door wreath and choose the frame that works best or you size and style. I find that lots of variation on the foliages give a good base for all your special extras, to add the sparkle and scent, if you use dried fruits and cinnamon sticks. Working with the seasons gives you the best choice of flowers and foliage to use.

I like the good variegated holly we call in the trade ilex Its long lasting and reminds us of the festive season. Pine is plentiful and available from most florists. join us for our own door wreath workshops here at petite fleur.

Do you ever struggle for ideas of something different to get mum on Mother's day ? Flowers are always the first thought. However the traditional bouquet may not seem so unique or personal. As a florist I like to showcase fun and original designs that stand out from the crowd. maybe using unusual or personal containers that can be used or recycled afterwards as a permanent reminder of that special day.  Or perhaps. a combination of favourite flowers and seasonal foliage. I'm sure with my flair for flowers and and eye for creating something special we can make that special day even more special.  Here are a few ideas for you to see something to suit any room and person who likes a surprise.

I like to try new things here at my florist shop. So we did a customer survey and found that the traditional wreath although still popular we found the houses they are building today the doors are" Plastic" and have no knockers !! which create a problem !. How to Fix a wreath too it.?

There are a few methods, but not that available for people to buy. So with this design, the Door bow wraps which can also be introduced inside, have no fixing issues, and make a delighfull change for this festive Christmas. We have been very busy fitting the bows in Reds, Golds, and Silvers to suit each front door.

Hello people this time of year has for us been a busy one. We have had a few new brides come through the door to arrange there special day wedding flowers with us. We have found that most brides today have a much better idea of what they are looking for, in terms of colour design and realistic budgets. We also have noticed the brides supplying a lot more of there extra accessories to tie in with the theme. Maybe its due to instagram, or pinterest where there is a lot of ideas and ways to help brides choose what they would like.

But as a florist we know that we can fulfill the needs of the bride and with all our experience in this work we can create the dream bouquet. There are a lot of so called florist that have tried to do what we do but unless you have a basic and trained eye and of course qualifications, then be careful who you choose.

Take a look at our pictures and if you just need advise then call us Always here at the shop to help.
